BUPRENORPHINE TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM:PHARMACOKINETIC STUDY AND ANAGESIC EFFECT IN MICE

Transdermal delivery system of buprenorphine (BTDS)was developed for the treatment of post-operative andchronic pains. Drug pharmacokinetics in blood and braintissue of mice was observed. We also observed the extentof the analgesic effect in mice and skin toxicity in rabbit withBTDS using tail flick test, writhing test and Draize’s method.All of test with BTDS was compared with subcutaneous(s.c.) injection of buprenorphine.
