In this paper, the recognition and track algorithm of the target is studied mainly in different tracking phases, according to general questions of the automatic recognition and track of the moving targets like tank and aircraft in the image guidance system, and the effective algorithm methods are proposed during the whole tracking procedure. At first, the small target under the conditions of low contrast is primarily recognized by means of the Wiener Filter method combining with the Truncated Sequential Probability Ratio Test (TSPRT). With the increase of the object pixel proportion in image, the self-adaptive matching method is used for recognizing and tracking on the target.
