The Design of a Testing System for Circuit Boards Based on Custom Bus

In most of the new military equipments, the structure is often used as separate boards since it is easy for repairing. Each one has its own function and conjuncts through custom bus. After one of them is wrong, a system is designed to located the wrong unit. The system contains the following elements: a computer, an AD collector based on USB and a testing motherboard. The basic theory of the system is divided into several steps. First, the computer sends the test command to the monolithic processor system via Serial port. Second, the monolithic processor generates the prompting signal. The board being tested works. Third, the signals of the test points can be obtained through AD collector. Finally the obstacle can be found out. Following the system will be introduced in detail.
