The pyroelectric IR detector is a kind of high performance with low cost. It has been widely applied in many fields, such as target surveillance, temperature measurement, IR spectral analysis, and so on. Piezoelectricity property always appears in pyroelectric IR detector. With piezoelectricity property, the IR detector is sensitive to vibration that comes from applied environments, so the output signal of the detector is mixed with the vibration noise. This noise limits pyroelectric detectors’s application about high-precision detection field (especially in complicated battle-environments). A novel method for suppressing vibration noise is presented in this paper based on digital adaptive filtering. The noise spectrum of different structure of fast-response IR detector is analyzed . When digital adaptive filtering method is performed, the adaptability of the detectors in battlefield environments is strengthened.
