Accurate Measuring of the Cam’s Lift Error in the Three-coordinates Measuring Machine

In this paper, the disadvantages of current measuring methods of cam's lift error,such as the method of peach tip point, sensitivity points method and so on are analyzed. A search point method is presented to measure cam’s lift error on three-coordinates measuring machine according to the requirements of designing and measuring cam's lift error. Academic analyse and practice in measuring show that: This measuring method is simple and accurate.
