In this paper, it depict concisely that the kinds of gear vibrate signal and comparison of every signal disposal methods for gear’s local fault detecting. Discrete binary Wavelet transform method has favorable sensibility and real time quality. It is suitable to pick up high frequent signal of vibration of gear and detect transient abnormal information in normal signals. It suits mostly to real time monitoring and diagnosis of gear’s surface local fault. In this paper, it puts out the example which use binary Wavelet transform method to pick up high frequent faint signal of gear surface local fault.
