To acquire useful characteristic parameter from vibrating signal, which is disturbed by strong noise, a method of high-order statistics and short-time energy for signal processing is researched in this paper. The theoretical principle of this method is expounded detailedly. Finally, this method is used to process the signal that is acquired from the armored vehicle. From the result of fault diagnosis, this method can effectively decrease the effect of strong noise in the test of real vehicle, and enhance veracity of fault diagnosis.
