摘要

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a high performance, aromatic thermoplastic resin that can be extruded into a crystalline film and converted into pressure sensitive tape (PST). Physical, thermal aging, electrical, chemical resistance, and tribological properties of 2-mil film are comparable to both polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polyimide (PI) films. PEEK possesses greater abrasion resistance, lower smoke and toxicity release, higher mechanical and dielectric strength, less permeability, and lower density over PTFE. PEEK possesses improved chemical, hydrolysis, and barrier properties over PI. Adhesive strength on a variety of substrates is presented for PEEK PST using common performance adhesive technology.
