DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHOAL CREEK RAW WATER INTAKE AT LAKE LANIER

摘要

The successful completion of the Shoal Creek Raw Water Intake and Pumping Station Project provides Gwinnett County's water system with added reliability and capacity. The project was completed accident free, within the contract time, and $800,000 below the original bid cost. The design of the project with a sub-surface pump station required minimal environmental impact during construction and leaves an esthetically pleasing and minimally intrusive product for the community. The success of the project is attributable in large part to the cooperative spirit exhibited by the parties.
