A MOBILE DATA ACQUISITION TOOL AND ITS APPLICATION FOR SUBJECTIVE RESPONSE WITH PDA FOR OFFICE WORKER'S PRODUCTIVITY

A simple system collecting data of office workers' responses with Personal Digital Assistant via web was studiecl.A field study was conducted with this system in a meeting room. The meeting room was ventilated at two levels;either average carbon dioxide concentration of 1239 ppm or 677 ppm. The subjects were nine office workers.Occupants' fatigue, vigor and complaints on indoor environment before and after the meetings were recorded.After the meetings, the subjects had more complaints on 'Stuffy air' at low level of ventilation rate than that at high level of ventilation. Majority of the subjects had marked 'Not enough lighting' as their complaints. Using this system, it was handy and easy to get occupants' requests about indoor environment. The method of collecting a large quantity of requests through network system is useful for further improvement of office environment.
