Structures immersed in sea water are rapidly covered by fouling. This problem reduce precision,cause structural instability and affect operational performance. Numerous works have been carried out in orderto present an effective protection system using the mechanical propagation waves. Active control of vibrationby piezoelectric materials distributed about the structures is the interesting application of piezoelectric materialsfor antifouling process. This paper develops the theory of piezolaminated plate, followed by vibration analysis.The active vibration and shape control of composite plate is studied using the governing equations of motion.This study evaluates the effectiveness of actively controlled piezopolymers for antifouling process.
