摘要

Characteristic intensity distribution was observedfor N2 second positive bands with higher vibrationalquantum numbers in measurements of radiationfrom high-temperature air plasmas with a micro-airplasma-jet generator. The intensity distributioncould not be explained by a usual equilibriumradiation theory. In order to investigate thephenomenon, theoretical spectra were calculatedby taking the effects of predissociation andnon-Boltzmann rotational distribution for N2 (C Π 3 )molecule into account. The theoretical andexperimental spectra agreed very well with eachother. In addition, collisional transition ratecoefficient which is an important factor to calculatethe rotational population distribution was proposedbased upon a simple collision theory and comparedwith Rahn's formula and Fujita's quasi-classicaltrajectory calculation at high temperatures.
