Interest is growing in the use of By-product from flue gas desulphurization (FGD) toreclaim saline and sodic soils by controlling the pH and excessive Na+. The soil columnexperiment was adopted to study the effects on physical and chemical properties (ESP、TDS 、pH、CO32-+HCO3- and the soil-water content) of saline and sodic soils with by-product from FGDin this paper. The experiment was designed with 8 treatments, with 4 leaching levels and 2By-product from FGD levels (20.2 and 24.3 t/hm2). The ESP、TDS 、pH and CO32-+HCO3-decreased and the soil-water content increased in the soil profile by using by-product from FGDand leaching, and the physical and chemical properties of saline and sodic soils were improved.The effect of saline and sodic soils reclaimed with 24.3 t/hm2 by-product from flue gasdesulphurization and 4 leaching times is best, the average of ESP、TDS and pH on the 20cmsurface respectively reduced to 9.6%、0.15g/kg and 8.16.
