INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGILITY: DEFINITION AND CONCEPTUALIZATION ANDCONCEPTUALIZATION OF A CONSTRUCT

摘要

Over the last few years there has been a great deal of interest in agile Information Systems (IS)but there seems to be a lack of clarity regarding the definition of an agile IS. An extensive reviewof the academic literature revealed that the existing definitions of agility fall short. They are toobroad and do not lend themselves to proper operationalization across all parts and levels of theorganization including IS. This paper presents existing work on agility and provides a definitionwhich is based on the core characteristics of agility forming a basis for future study of IS agility.
