Integrated Ship Risk Management System

摘要

Risk-based safety assessment method is being applied to marine systems in order to reduce major marine accidentssuch as collision and grounding. This paper proposes integrated ship risk management system. The systemaddresses accidents causes such as human error, hardware failure and external events integratedly and aims to showan effective means to manage accident risks during ship operation. The system calculates risk index for eachaccident category and determine highly probable accident scenarios for the accident category with high risk levelusing integrated risk model which covers accident causes and consequences. A prototype of the proposed systemhas been implemented to be used in passenger vessels for collision and grounding accident.
