AUDIT SYSTEM FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE OF VALUE ENGINEERING STUDY IN A MANUFACTURER

Value Engineering Study is an effective program to reduce cost and upgrade value for a hardware or software project. Usually such study lasts about one week in a constructing project. However, in manufacturers the study will last for more than 3 months. Most of times the study team will face obstacles and might prolong the study time even longer. Setting up an audit system to assign a group of experienced Value practitioners as auditors to monitor the study will help solving problems, shorting the study time, and upgrading the study performance. This paper describes how Value Engineering Study be performed and audited in a manufacturer, why the audit team be grouped. Finally with auditors’ assistance the study performance shows much better than before
