The Design of a Core Router Supporting Both Ipv4 and Ipv6 Protocol Stacks

摘要

Both software and hardware structure of a dual stack core router is introduced. Emphases are put on the performance of the data plane for a dual stack core router. According to the requirements of throughput, latency, and loss ratio of packets, an Ipv6 core router was designed. The testing result of the router is given and analyzed.
