Real-time Diagnosis System Based on Multisignal Model for Satellite Power System

In order to reduce the time of fault location for practical use of on-line monitoring and diagnosis system in satellite ground station, a new automated real-time diagnosis system based on multisignal model is proposed for a satellite power system. In the multisignal model, the symptoms provided by monitoring system based on data of satellite power telemetry channel, act as tests, which ring alarm if the telemetry data of the channel is out of normal range and pass otherwise. Using diagram and dependency matrix to subscribe the causal dependency relationship between components and tests of the system, a real-time diagnosis algorithm based on the multisignal model suitable for the power system is given and realized. Visual Basic 6.0, Visual C++ 6.0 and SQL Sever 2000 are used to develop the monitoring and diagnosis system. In a test for a certain satellite power system with 15 components and 20 tests, the diagnosis time is less than 0.1 second (in PIII 800M 256 RAM computer). The experimental results reveal that the diagnosis system, utilizing all the information of the channels of the power, locates failure components accurately and rapidly, which is suitable to real-time on-line fault diagnosis for complex systems such as satellite power system.
