Standards as the basis for lean and cost-efficient data acquisition systems in bottling plants

摘要

Data acquisition (PDA) systems help to increase the efficiency of bottling plants. They allow analysis to detect technical weak-points, support quality assurance and plant-operators. In the past only few individual systems have been developed at a high expenditure of work and money. To make standard-systems with all important functions possible at reasonable cost, guidelines and recommendations have been worked out and arranged with the relevant system vendors and machine suppliers. Further enhancements in matters of open systems interconnection will follow. First applications of PDA-systems referring to the standard have shown significant savings in matters of data collection and system engineering.
