Decisions on the strategies to follow in dealing with these operational and decommissioning wastes require consideration of a wide range of issues including environmental impact, safety, stakeholder acceptability, cost and practicability. In this paper, we focus on an approach that we have developed to analyse the time-varying resource requirements of different waste management options in terms of cost and plant capacity.
