THE RELATIONSHIP OF VIDEO GAMING AS IT RELATES TO ONLINE AND OFFLINE PLAY

摘要

This paper investigates the relationship of “video gaming” as it relates to online and offline play. The differences among players were studied to examine an individual’s desire to upgrade their equipment or to purchase the next generation equipment. Findings suggest significant differences among three game playing types; online, offline, and those that play both. Further, there were slight gender differences as well as various reasons for game playing.
