摘要

Some reflectors for communication purposes are made of the triaxial woven fabric (TWF) composites. The stress analysis of a membrane sector of the reflector subjected to pressure is presented here using Superelement 2 developed previously in [2,3]. Since the full-scale membrane sector is too large to model by finite element method using a personal computer, an investigation was made on the effect of the size of the sector of similar shape on the deflection and stresses. A similitude law was proposed. This paper presents these results.
