Disintegrating process of rapidly disintegrating tablets, prepared with different particle size of lactose, were evaluated precisely by CCD camera method. The end point and AUC as parameters for evaluating disintegration behaviors were successfully introduced. It was suggested that the factors affecting disintegration of tablets were surface morphology as well as water penetration.
