Inspired by the nanometric-scaled core-shell structure of virus, stable and monodispersive micelles with drug- or gene-loading core were prepared through a self-assembly of block copolymers. Polymeric micelles thus prepared showed the notable stability in blood circulation to achieve high therapeutic indices, indicating a promising feasibility as novel virus-inspired vehicles.
