摘要

The localization of PEGylated-fluorescent nanoparticles in the brain and spinal cord was evaluated microscopically in healthy rats and in rats suffering experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE). In healthy rats nanoparticles were mainly found isolated in the epithelial cells derived from the pia mater and in the ependymal cells of choroids plexuses that line of the ventricles. By contrast , in EAE rats, nanoparticles were localized in more internal tissues: olfactory bulbs, colliculi, cerebellum, white matter of brain and spinal cord. The nanoparticles were co-localized in the macrophage infiltrations produced as consequence of the EAE pathology.
