The radiance temperature of a small portable blackbody was studied using an infrared thermometer radiator in the temperature range from -10°C to +50°C. The aim of the study was to investigate the convection effects in the blackbody with the blackbody in the normal horizontal position and then in an upright position. The results show that the effect is very small in this temperature range.
