PREPARATION OF POLYANILINE CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITES WITH DIENE-RUBBF.R OR POLYPHENYLACETYLENE SUITABLE FOR GAS SENSING

We present here improved procedures for the synthesis of polyaniline for use in gas sensing devices. A novel purification process from potentially carcinogen synthesis by-products is introduced. Preparation of composites of doped polyaniline and rubber and polyaniline and polyphenylacetylene suitable for casting of homogeneous thin films is described.
