Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technique has been utilised to investigate the effects of the interaction between nitrogen dioxide and thin films of delocalised macromolecules of copper-phthalocyanine (CuPc) deposited onto silver by Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) method. The resulting shifts of the SPR spectrum have been monitored as a function of the incident angle. A fitting technique of experimental resonance curves for CuPc/Ag/glass system has been executed using an optimisation routine and it has given the responses versus NO_2 as variations of real and imaginary parts of CuPc optical constants.
