摘要

Micromechanical analysis of S-glass fiber reinforced epoxy composites is performed. The effect of strain-rate is modeled adopting a rate-dependent constitutive model for the composite system. It is computationally formidable to simulate any composite structure accounting for the microstructural details entirely. In the present research we develop a parametrically homogenization based continuum damage mechanics (PHCDM) model for composite failure. A composite plate under pressure wave is analyzed in ABAQUS with PHCDM model incorporated into user-subroutine.
