Supply Chain Management: Strategic Implications for Transportation and Logistics

This paper compares the transportation and logistics activities of firms practicing supply chain management to those who don't, using a survey methodology. Over 5000 U.S. and European firms were surveyed and over 500 responded. The respondents were grouped according to their practice of SCM. A number of significant findings resulted.
