Returned goods or reverse logistics, the movement or disposition of goods back from a consumer is increasing in importance. Customers are becoming accustomed to being able to return goods purchased for diverse reasons. These goods can be purchased from storefronts (mortar), catalogs, or over the WEB (click). This paper identifies the processes of reverse movement of goods and proposes an implementation model. The model portrays the steps necessary for creating a returned goods system in third party provider organizations to offer such a service as a new product in their organization.
