Information Systems Failure and Its Impact on the Supply Chain Decision Process

The realization that many supply chain managers are still using strategies that were devised for the pre-IS types of supply chains calls for a strategy that considers the effect of Information System Failure (ISF) in supply chain management decision making. This proposed supply chain decision strategy addresses the dynamic multi-dimensional socio-technical issues within a heedful supply chain. The framework is based on the high reliability organization and supply chain management techniques.
