摘要

In conclusion, we have shown for the first time the generation of hydrogen from formic acid amine adducts at such high rates at ambient temperature with the commercially available [RuCl_2(PPh_3)_3] complex. Compared to previously known organic hydrogen generating systems the presented system allows to be run even at room temperature without the need of high temperature reforming processes. The produced hydrogen can be directly used in fuel cells, thus combining the advantages of liquid fuels and established H_2/O_2 fuel cell. This might be interesting for new applications in portable electric devices.
