The infrared CCD captures infrared wave band image, which reflect object in high contrast and work in night. The star light mode CCD captures minimum illumination light then amplified by DSPs (digital signal processors) circuit. Utilizing the specialty of infrared and minimum light CCD image, fusion in various grades, in hardware and software, could acquire more information of the night vision image to ensure high resolution and definition. In image pixel grade fusion, the wavelets disassemble and pyramid arithmetic is used to advance image quality. The second-generation wavelet improves effectively the fusion image quality especially. In fusion image of hardware execution, the fast speed TMS320C6201 DSP chipset is used to advance high speed real-time capture and fusion image, FPGA is used to intensify histogram and equilibrate and control time serials, which solutes the contradiction of image fusion processing arithmetic between large quantities of data computation and real-time processing.
