摘要

The inhibitory effects of 39 herbicides belonging to 19 different chemical classes and 11 different functions on a green algae, Scenedesmus obliqnus cell cultured in liquid media was tested. The results showed that the method of herbicidal screening using Scenedesmus obliqnus as a model organism gave many advantages such as simple, quick, sensitive and so on. Thus, the in-vitro systems can form a second screening net to ensure that potential new leading structures shall not be missed. Moreover, a set of biotests using cell suspension culture of Scenedesmus obliqnus was suggested to form a herbicide prescreen in order to eliminate inactive compounds before testing in the more expensive screen in higher plants such as the greenhouse screen. The method developed can meet the requirements for microscreen and high-throughput screening (HTS) in vitro.
