Enhanced Air Filtration Performance with a New Triboelectric Blend

Electrostatic filtration is well known to be highlyeffective in filtering very fine particles, while atthe same time maintaining a low pressure drop.Over recent years, the performance requirementsfor air filtration have become ever moredemanding for the removal of fine particles. Tomeet these tighter requirements, a newtriboelectric couple (Tribo?), has been recentlydeveloped by the research and development teamat Texel Inc. The following paper describesexperiments, test results and differentapplications in which this triboelectric couplecan perform.
