The influence in charge control agent (CCA) in toner surface to toner triboelectric charge has been studied by the measurement of dependence of toner q/m on toner concentration. The variations of CCA materials on toner surface and toner concentration have been examined by blow-off method. It is found that the toner triboelectric charging characteristics are changed by carrier type. There is a strong correlation between the toner triboelectric charge and its toner concentration dependence with the CCA content on the toner surface. Our proposed model discusses the effect of the surface charging sites by CCA on toner surface. The difference of effective charging site numbers involving energy state between toner and carrier surface is very useful concept for the analysis of microscopic behavior of two-component systems.
