The cyclic performance of spinel LiMn_2O_4 can be improved at some extend by the method of doping. The usual way is to treat the mixed compounds of Li-salt, Mn-salt and non-Mn-salt in high temperature. Because of the low diffusion velocity of the metal ion, the target products prepared by the method are not homogeneous enough and high temperature is needed. Here precursors were prepared by a kind of simplified sol-gel method and then the precursors were treated at relative low temperature. The electrochemical performance of the materials is satisfying.
