Over the last 5 years of development, SolidMesh has significantly reduced the amount of time necessary to generate a high quality unstructured 2D or 3D grid from a poorly defined geometry. CAD creation/cleanup, grid generation and grid quality visualization are all seamlessly integrated into an easy to learn graphical user interface (GUI). To round out the SolidMesh system, an extensive web based documentation system is provided with tutorials and examples that allow first time users to learn SolidMesh without human assistance. SolidMesh is being developed by the Computational Simulation & Design Center (Sim Center) at Mississippi State University.
