This paper gives a comparative study of the field formulation and potential formulation in 3D eddy current computation. THe work has been carried out for two dual families of formulations in which the Whitney elements are used. For the two main numerical criteria. say, the accuracy and the convergence, the conclusion is in favour of potential formulation.
