A new model to solve steady state electromagnetic field problem in the end region of a large hydro generator involves laminar eddy current and iron nomlinerrity is presented. The three dimensional and qualsi-three dimensional models are applied respectively in the stator iron core and end regions. The method for joining the three dimensional and quasi-three dimensional models is described.
