This paper shows an experimental investigation associated with the phenomenon of water entry. An experimental facility was designed and sel-up for carrying out 342 m/s water entry tests. A noninvasive optical observation was performed to study the fourmtion and collapse of the supercavitation behind an underwater high-speed projectile. The motion of the free surface, the splash ans the bubbles after the penetration in water were also observed. From the experiment, a number of intere-sting events are reported here.
