摘要

For the process optimisation of industrail furnaces detalied knowledge about the complex and coupled phenomena of flow, mixture, combustion and heat transfer has a decisive improtance. The Gaswarme-Institute, Essen (GWI) has developed new optimising possibiloities for combustion processes in the fleld of the industrial utilisation of natural gas by using mathematical modelling tools in combination iwth experijental investigation. At the facilities of GWI it is possible to test burner systems realising similar boundary conditions as in industrial applications. At the smae time an optimisation can be done using mathematical mdoelling. Therefore it is possible to reduce the experimental efforts distinctly.
