The behaviour at rupture was studied by varying the extensional strain rates and it was found that for polydisperse samples, the relation between the time for rupture and the stress at rupture appears to be different than the one found by Malkin and Petrie, (1997) for monodisperse samples, the time for rupture showing a weaker dependence on the stress than Malkin and Petrie, (1997) observe.
