The floating production unit Veslefrikk B (VFB) has upon 10 years in service experienced fatigue crack growth. A reconstruction was performed onshore during the summer 1999. The design of re-construction is based on the fatigue potential estimated by the probabilistic Fracture Mechanics (FM) tool, PIA.
