The reaction of producing hydrogen for n-C_8H_(18) partially oxidizing and water steam reforming has been researched in the fixed-bed reactor. A series of catalysts that were mainly used nickel and supported on trioxide aluminum have been studied. It showed that the active of catalyst was increased with the content of nickel by only using nickel supported on trioxide aluminum. Its active was not obviously increased when the content of nickel was over 5%(wt). The conversion ratio of n-C_8H_(18) and its selectivity of producing hydrogen were increased with reaction temperature. However, The conversion ratio of n-C_8H_(18) and its selectivity of producing hydrogen were decreased with temperature when the temperature was over about 993K. The active of catalyst of making up of main nickel and little noble metal supported on trioxide aluminum was very higher compared with the catalyst of only nickel supported on trioxide aluminum when the reaction temperature was lower. However, the conversion ratio of n-C_8H_(18) and its selectivity of producing hydrogen for the catalyst of making up of main nickel and little noble metal supported on trioxide aluminum were not obvious when the temperature was over 923K.
