A polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based electrolyte containing LiPFe, ethylene carbonate and other plasti-cizers, and a polymer fabric was prepared. It has excellent mechanical properties and ionic conductivity at ambient and low temperature. This electrolyte is well adapted for use in high energy rechargeable batteries. Cells show stabilized cycle performance and excellent low temperature performance.
