Okinawa Prefectural Government set up a remote monitoring system for aircraft noise exposure surrounding three military and civil airfields. It has nineteen observation stations as of April 1998. This report shows the state of art of the monitoring system and the analysis of the measurements at the 19 stations for one year. The results of measurements are used for the epidemiological survey on the health effects due to aircraft noise on-going.
