In this paper, we describe an advanced vrotex method in simulating the vorticity dominated unsteady flows. Velocity is calculated based on Biot-Savart law without the necessity to grid large portions of the flow field and concentrate calculation points in the regions where vorticity is presnet. Lagrangian representation of the evolving velocity field is employed because it is well suited to the moving boundaries. An integral pressure equation is used to compute the pressure distributions for the whole flow field. Typical complex flow phenomena in turbomachinery have bene numerical simulated using the advanced vortex method.
