Ageing mechanism of Shengli 100B Asphalt Part. 1. The change of component and property during ageing

The relationships between component; property and ageing time of shengli 100B asphalt were studied at different temperatures. Results showed that two kinds of reaction, Aromatics-> Resins-> Asphaltines condensation reaction and resins+ O_2(air)-RO~* autoxidation reaction, might occur during ageing and the later might be dominant in service condition. The change of resin content versus ageing time could be expressed in first-orider macro-reaction. The penetration index was on the exponential decay with ageing time.
